Visiting a new church can be intimidating
What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit.
BELOW IS INFORMATION TO HELP YOU ON YOUR FIRST VISIT.
What you can expect on your first visit?
Stop by our Welcome Center located at all 3 main entrances and let the guest receptionist assist you. You will receive a free gift, just for visiting!
What do I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
What about kids?
We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids in a safe enviroment. We also have nursery care that is secure and monitored with loving staff and volunteers.
What is the service like?
The 9:30am and 11:00am services music styles are different with identical sermons. Service last about 60-70 minutes. An opportunity is provided to speak with a prayer counselor during the service. If you’re visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering plate that is passed in the service. If you consider FBCUC as your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by check or cash in the worship service or any time during the week when you’re on campus, or you can set up an online giving account using our online portal.
Complete the form before your first visit to FBC of Universal City and stop by the Welcome Desk for your free gift bag. Let the parking attendants and door greeters know that you are a first-time visitor and they will assist you with directions to the sanctuary, kids check-in and the Welcome Desk.
