Joel joined First Baptist Universal City in November 2025 as the Spiritual Formation Pastor. He earned his M.Div. from Southwestern Seminary and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Christian ethics there. Joel is passionate about helping people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and guiding them in their journey of spiritual maturity. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, disc golf, and board games, watching movies, and spending time with his wife, Lincoln.
