- How much does the food cost?
- Each meal costs less than 29¢ to make.
- How much will it cost to pack 1 million meals?
- The cost of raw ingredients for 1 million meals is $290,000. Other cost include rental equipment and promotional. Our financial goal is $300,000.
- How much of my donation goes to the food?
- FMSC devotes more than 90 percent of total donations to feeding kids. Less than 10 percent goes to fundraising, administration and overhead combined.
- Where does my money go to?
- Individuals wishing to donate can donate through the church by going to https://www.fbcuc.org/texasmobilepack-donate. All monies for partnership will go directly to Feed My Starving Children identified for our event.
Volunteering
- How do I volunteer at Feed My Starving Children
- All of our volunteer registration takes place online at https:// www.fbcuc.org/texasmobilepack-volunteer. Registration opens on August 5th.
- Do I need to pay to volunteer?
- No, however any donation is greatly appreciated.
- What is the minimum age for volunteering?
- The minimum age for volunteering is 5 years old. Everyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We require the following adult to child ratios for school and church groups: Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult, Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult, Grades 7-12: 4 students to 1 adult.
- Do I need to arrive early?
- Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your packing session.
- What clothes should we wear?
- We recommend all volunteers wear closed-toed shoes. Please come in clean, comfortable casual clothes.
- Can we wear jewelry while packing?
- Due to FDA compliance for food manufacturing plants, NO jewelry may be worn in the packing room, labeling areas, Warehouse area. Prohibited jewelry includes earrings, watches, rings, necklaces, pins, brooches, etc. Wedding bands are permitted. However, if your band has a stone, you will be required to wear a glove. Facial piercings and new earrings that lock in the back are permitted. Medical alert bracelets and necklaces may be worn.
- Are there sit-down jobs for volunteers?
- Yes! Volunteers can sit while labeling bags-this is a vital step to the packing process. This task entails putting our FMSC label on each bag before it is filled with food.
- I have food allergies. Can I see a list of ingredients I would be exposed to in the packing room?
- Ingredients: White Rice, Textured Soy Protein (Soy Flour), Vegetarian Flavoring (Salt, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Corn Starch, Dextrose, Soybean Oil, Natural Flavor, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate), Dehydrated Carrots, Dehydrated Potatoes.

- Our team is available to come and speak to your organization. We also have video's, and visual aids to assist with promoting the event and fundraising.
- How do I fundraise?
- Encourage your group to "Sponsor a Child " for only $106 per child which feeds a child for one year. In support of World Hunger Day on May 28th, individuals can donate to fight against Hunger. FMSC has other ideas on their website: https://www.fmsc.org/ways-to-give/fundraise-for-fmsc
- What are some of the In-Kind Services Partnerships?
- Cost include equipment rental, promotional and media.
- What if I am not able to partner at this time, how can I still support?

- Is FMSC affiliated with any other organization?
- No, FMSC are not associated with any other feeding businesses. They are a Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
- Do you feed children in the United States?
- Not very often. Our meals were designed for the severe malnutrition that is more common in the developing world.
- Where does the food go?
- Food has been sent to nearly 70 countries including: Haiti, Belize, Sudan, South Sudan, Jamaica, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Djibouti, Somalia, Chad, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, and many more.
