Pastor David Lindow is a native born Texan reared in the southeast town of Vidor, Texas. His undergraduate work was done at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. While attending the university, David met and married his wife, Lisa. He then served the First Baptist Church of Mansfield, Louisiana as Minister of Youth.
After completion of college, David and Lisa moved to Fort Worth as he completed the Master of Divinity program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary while serving the First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom as Minister of Students and Music. Following seminary, David and Lisa received the call to pastor the Parkview Baptist Church of San Saba, Texas.
After two and half years of ministry, God called them here to First Baptist Church of Universal City in 1992 as the Minister of Youth and Young Singles. In 1996 he was moved by the church to the position of Associate Pastor and later that same year, upon the retirement of Pastor Tommy Grozier, was called as the interim pastor. Eight months later he was determined to be God's called undershepherd for First Baptist.
While serving here at FBCUC, God has gifted David and Lisa with the adoption of two girls, Kalli and MiKayla.
Apart from his love for the Father, his family, and church, Pastor David is an avid sailor and woodworker. His recently completed project was a 22 foot cat-ketch rigged sailboat named Sophia. (Don’t ask about it unless you have an hour.)
His life verse comes from Psalm 84:7, "They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion."
